Xiyue Weikang Hydrotalcite Tablets

1. Indications and Usage
Gastritis: Treatment of acute and chronic gastritis.
Peptic Ulcer Disease: Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Reflux Esophagitis: Management of reflux esophagitis.
Symptomatic Relief: Alleviation of gastric discomfort associated with gastric acid, such as gastric pain, heartburn, acidic belching, and bloating.
Gastric Protection: Prevention of gastric mucosal damage caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
2. Dosage and Administration
Adults: Chew 1-2 tablets per dose, 3-4 times daily.
Timing: Usually taken 1-2 hours after meals, at bedtime, or when gastric discomfort occurs.
Special Populations: Dosage for children should be determined by a physician or pharmacist.
Duration: In case of severe gastric and duodenal ulcers, the treatment should be continued for at least 4 weeks after symptoms are relieved.
Precautions: Do not use continuously for more than 7 days. If symptoms do not improve, medical consultation is required.

Antacid Effect: Hydrotalcite rapidly and persistently neutralizes excess gastric acid.

Renal Impairment: Patients with renal damage (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min) should not take large doses for a long period.
Contraindications: Do not use in patients with severe cardiac or renal failure, hypermagnesemia, or hypercalcemia.
Hypersensitivity: Discontinue immediately if signs of allergy or anaphylaxis appear.
Special Populations: Use with caution in pregnant women during the first trimester and during lactation.

6. Drug Interactions

Management: Other medications should be taken 1-2 hours before or after Hydrotalcite to avoid interaction.
Vitamin Absorption: Aluminum agents may bind to bile salts, reducing the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, particularly Vitamin A.
