Qihan Biotech:In vivo CAR-T clinical data were disclosed by Qihan Biotech.

This morning, Qihan Biotech reported preliminary positive clinical data for its in vivo CAR-T therapy. Qihan Biotech did not disclose specific information about its in vivo CAR-T pipeline. It is only known that the company’s first in vivo CAR-T program is a dual-targeting in vivo CAR-T developed for the treatment of multiple myeloma. It was developed based on Qihan Biotech’s proprietary precision-targeting in vivo CAR-T platform technology, which can avoid non-specific effects on tumor cells and phagocytic cells, precisely target T cells, address the issue of antigen masking, and ensure the safety and long-term efficacy of in vivo CAR-T therapy.
According to a report released by Qihan Biotech at the 2025 ASH Annual Meeting, the company has developed a lentivirus-based in vivo CAR-T platform. Through the engineering of binder-fusogen proteins, this platform reduces cytokine release, precisely controls early T cell stimulation, and exhibits rapid receptor internalization without sustained formation of TCR signaling complexes. This preserves the resting T cell metabolic profile and prevents upregulation of exhaustion markers. Consequently, the platform achieves highly specific, built-in safety features for “silent” CAR delivery while maintaining a functionally quiescent state of T cells.
Currently, Qihan Biotech’s in vivo CAR-T program has advanced to the clinical stage, with an ongoing investigator-initiated trial (IIT). Dosing has been completed in four patients with refractory multiple myeloma.
