Under the terms of the agreement, Everest Medicines will receive an upfront payment of US$112.5 million and is eligible to receive up to US$1.03 billion in development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments across up to five indications. In addition, Everest Medicines will be entitled to tiered royalties ranging from high single-digit to double-digit percentages based on the annual net sales of EVER001. As innovation in the rare kidney disease space continues to accelerate, patients with many serious diseases still face significant unmet needs and limited treatment options.
