Depression and Anxiety: Treatment of mild and moderate depression and anxiety, including neurasthenia, psychogenic depression, and somatic symptom disorders with emotional indifference.
2. Dosage and Administration
Adults: The usual dose is 2 tablets daily, taken as 1 in the morning and 1 at noon. For severe cases, 2 tablets may be taken in the morning. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.
Elderly: Typically 1 tablet in the morning.
Maintenance: Usually 1 tablet daily in the morning. For insomnia or severe restlessness, mild sedatives may be added during the acute phase.
3. Mechanism of Action
Flupentixol: A thioxanthene antipsychotic that acts primarily as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, providing mild antipsychotic and activating effects.
Melitracen: A tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, alleviating depressive and anxious symptoms.

Suicidal Ideation: Antidepressants increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in children and adolescents.
Cardiovascular Risks: Not recommended for patients with recent myocardial infarction, heart block, or coronary ischemia.
Contraindications: Contraindicated in unrepaired narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, severe hepatic impairment, and patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
