Yueyouli® is the Pinyin brand name of Irinotecan Hydrochloride Liposome Injection (II), a liposomal formulation of irinotecan. It inhibits topoisomerase I to block tumour DNA replication and transcription.
Main Indications
For the treatment of metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma in adult patients.
Clinical Research
A pivotal phase II clinical study showed that this liposomal irinotecan achieves prolonged drug exposure in tumour tissue. Combined with 5-FU and leucovorin, it improves overall survival for patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer who progressed after first-line chemotherapy, with a manageable safety profile.
Common Side Effects
Neutropenia, anaemia, diarrhoea;
Other common reactions: nausea, vomiting, fatigue, decreased appetite. Rare serious adverse events include severe infection and febrile neutropenia.
