Rice Bran Sterol Tablets

1. Indications and Usage
Periodontal Diseases: Treatment of gingival bleeding and periodontal abscesses caused by periodontal diseases.
2. Dosage and Administration
Therapeutic Dosage: 6-8 tablets per dose, three times daily.
Maintenance Dosage: 2-4 tablets per dose, three times daily. This is recommended to consolidate the therapeutic effect after periodontal symptoms are controlled.
Administration: Oral administration.
3. Mechanism of Action
Composition: The active ingredients are unsaponifiables extracted from rice bran oil, containing not less than 60% sterols, along with hydrocarbons, higher fatty acids, triterpenic alcohols, and vitamins.
Therapeutic Effect: The sterols possess antioxidant properties and inhibit the growth of periodontal bacteria, thereby improving pathological tooth loosening and preventing gingival bleeding.
4. Safety and Warnings
Concomitant Local Therapy: To achieve a curative effect for periodontal disease, this drug must be used concurrently with local periodontal treatments.
Special Populations: Information regarding use in pregnant and breastfeeding women is not clear; caution is advised. It should also be used with caution in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers.
Storage Precautions: Discontinue use if the appearance or physical state of the tablets changes.
