Juncell:GC101 is expected to be submitted for marketing approval in September.

On June 16, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange website showed that the IPO application submitted by Junsai Bio has been accepted. The exclusive sponsor for this IPO is CITIC Securities.

Founded in 2019, Junsai Bio focuses on the research, development, and commercialization of cell therapies for solid tumors. The company’s founder, CEO, and CTO is Dr. Jin Huajun.

Junsai Bio is primarily focused on developing tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapies. TIL therapy involves isolating TILs from a patient’s tumor tissue, expanding and activating them ex vivo, and then reinfusing them into the patient to induce an anti-tumor immune response. As a cell therapy, TILs may exhibit in vivo adaptability. Leveraging their tumor reactivity and tumor-homing properties, TILs are able to target tumor cells and exert anti-tumor activity. To date, Junsai has independently developed five other pipeline products at various stages of development, with indications covering multiple cancer types including lung cancer, breast cancer, head and neck cancer, colorectal cancer, glioma, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, and melanoma.

Junsai’s core candidate product, GC101, is an autologous natural TIL therapy for the treatment of various solid tumors, including advanced melanoma and advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). GC101 is currently being evaluated in a registrational Phase II clinical trial for advanced melanoma. In May 2026, this Phase II trial met its primary endpoint, with the GC101 treatment group showing a 57% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death compared with the control group. The trial results were selected as a Late-Breaking Abstract by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and were presented as an oral presentation at the ASCO Annual Meeting in June 2026. Junsai Bio expects to submit a Biologics License Application (BLA) for GC101 in September 2026. Concurrently, Junsai is conducting a Phase Ib/II clinical trial of GC101 for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer and is exploring early-line combination therapies and post-surgical adjuvant treatment effects of GC101 for other indications, including melanoma, NSCLC, glioma, and pancreatic cancer.
