Tianyun® is the commercial brand name of Colistimethate Sodium for Injection, a prodrug of colistin. It belongs to polymyxin class antibacterial agents. After administration, it converts to colistin, which damages bacterial cell membrane and exerts bactericidal activity against Gram-negative pathogens.
Main Indications
Treatment of severe infections caused by sensitive multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria in adult patients, when other antibacterial medicines are not effective.
