Changsheng® is the commercial brand name of Cefotaxime Sodium and Tazobactam Sodium for Injection, a combination antibacterial product developed by Xiangbei Welman Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Cefotaxime is a third-generation cephalosporin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis; tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which protects cefotaxime from enzymatic degradation and restores its antibacterial activity against beta-lactamase producing strains.
Main Indications
Treatment of moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and bacteremia.
