Zeruini® is the commercial brand name of Zorifertinib Hydrochloride Tablets. It is an oral epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, selectively targeting EGFR mutations to block downstream signalling pathways and suppress tumour cell proliferation.
Main Indications
For the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer harbouring EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations, who have failed prior platinum-based chemotherapy.
Clinical Research
A multicenter, single-arm phase 2 clinical trial demonstrated that zorifertinib achieved meaningful objective response rate in patients with EGFR exon20 insertion mutant NSCLC. It showed sustained tumour regression and a controllable safety profile.
Common Side Effects
Diarrhoea, rash, paronychia;
Other common reactions: dry skin, stomatitis, elevated aminotransferase. Rare serious adverse events include interstitial lung disease and severe hepatotoxicity.
