FOCUS V® is the brand name of this domestically developed original innovative drug. It is a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors and other related kinases to suppress tumour angiogenesis and tumour proliferation.
Main Indications
For the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who have received at least two lines of prior systemic chemotherapy. It is also indicated for soft tissue sarcoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma and small cell lung cancer.
Clinical Research
Clinical trials showed that anlotinib significantly prolongs progression-free survival and overall survival as third-line or later therapy for advanced NSCLC. It demonstrates anti-tumour activity in multiple solid tumours. The adverse events are manageable with dose interruption or reduction.
Common Side Effects
Systemic reactions: hypertension, hand-foot syndrome;
Common mild adverse reactions: fatigue, diarrhoea, elevated thyroid stimulating hormone. Rare serious adverse events: haemoptysis, gastrointestinal perforation.
